"A Scungebucket in Ice Land", written by local author Larry Keen, is a coming-of-age tale about a young man in the coast guard off the coast of Alaska. The approach with the design was to emulate the Alaskan wilderness, with abstract mountains and some rough texture. The black ship is an illustrated silhouette of the ship in the story.
